I am thinking in trying a new pickup configuration. It looks killer for my purposes... That woud be a 59 neck and strat like pickup in the bridge.
My axe has two stag mags that i use mainly in split mode. The bridge pickup it is great and absolutely love it. Seymour Duncan describes the split tone like a "vintage strat" but for me the tone it is closer to a telecaster. The neck pickup it is fine, very clear, but i prefer it to be a bit fatter.
I like clean and semidistorted tones. The idea to mix this pickups came from the fat telecaster configuration which looks very interesting to me.
My guitar it is a homemade mahogany, ebony fingerboard, 25.5 scale with a wraparound bridge.
Any opinions?
