SH-6 in a gibson SG

Hello, this is my first post. I found a SH-6 at my LGS and didn't take into consideration that newer Gibsons are F spaced... so I got the pup installed and noticed that my high E is sitting just outside of the pole. Sounds fine, no volume lost on any of the strings. The question is; is there a sonic difference between the SH-6 and the TB-6? Anyone else have a standard spaced Duncan in a Gibson?

No its fine your not going notice anything. I have a 1990 Explorer and the high E is a little on the outside, but it looks like the saddles on mine were replaced and filed by someone. Not professional work.

Right on. The poles not lining up with the strings just bugs the crap outta me...
would a trembucker fit into the bridge cavity of a Gibson SG? I hear the bobbins are larger? :wrf:
(As you can see I don't do a whole lotta pickup swapping.)

Yes, this will eat at you and you won't be able to sleep until you give Seymour more of your money LOL!

There was a post about this recently. SD uses wider bobbins, while DiMarzio moves the poles wider. I can't remember what Gibson does, but it could be possible that wider bobbins might be a tight fit.

My Gibsons keep the stock pickups so someone else will have to come along and say if a TB will fit.
