SH-6 vs SH-8???!!!

Re: SH-6 vs SH-8???!!!

so would say the Distortion is the better one to get?..or even the Dimebucker? is that better

Tried both in the bridge, never in the neck. Can't recall that much about the Distortion, guess it didn't suit my style. The Dimbucker, however, I remember as the worst sounding pickup I've ever tried, wouldn't recommend it. Far as I can recall, they' don't even make a Dimebucker for the neck.

Now you're on to something! You don't need 16-17k for metal. Just amp distortion and a nice clear and crunchy pickup. You should go with the Custom sh-5. NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the Custom 5 (SH-14). Custom and Jazz and a brilliant combo too. That set will give you everything you're looking for. My two main axes both have variations of the Custom, it is my favorite metal pickup.

I think you are right mate....Lamb of God use the Custom 5 and there Tone is incredible.....proving, as you say that Amp distortion is all you need.

As I have a Line 6 mk3 120 combo and a Crate GT1200h 120 watt head I have MORE THAN enough Distortion.......

I think I will be getting the Custom 5 and the Jazz
