Hi there. I do own a SH1Neck 59 and want to mount it in bridge position.
There are no incompatibilities electronically speaking, but I want to know what are the differences between the 59 neck and the 59 bridge excepting the 4 wires on the bridge one.
What would be the result to put a neck pickup on bridge pos?

thanks

ive done it before. its gonna sound very similar to the 59 bridge. honestly, i didnt hear any real difference worth splitting hairs over. the 59 neck and bridge models are largely similar anyways

It'll be just fine. I have one in the bridge of my Tele and it's a cool blues slide machine in Open G. Nice Mick Mars sound with a bit of distortion and overdrive.

The 59N output will be slightly weaker and slightly brighter than a 59B or real late 50's/early 60's Gibson paf.

The tone won't be bad...just not as strong as a 59B, which does have the full output of a vintage paf.

+1, I think you're going to find the neck pickup a bit anemic in the bridge position. It'll work just fine, and you very well may get everything you need from that pickup, but it's not designed for the bridge position.
