one things id like to mention. the SH5 does have a little vintage voice to it, and that helps keep the treble in check imo. makes the design of whatever tone i throw at it stable. i know modern pickups just kick the door wide open for bass and/or treble, actually taking away alot of the style about it other than output and compression. i like to think the SH5 is in the right area to please us metalheads and some smooth folks that dont want to take it overboard. :)

My only critique is stop putting yourself down so much in your initial comments :P

Re: SH5 metal

That was great, man. I hear what you're saying about it having a vintage vibe, but it can still rip your face off. Very cool.

Re: SH5 metal

thanks guys! means alot

i guess i put myself down to beat people to the punch of mixing lol :)
honestly my music speakers suck and my headphones are decent.
i have to cross check a couples systems to find a dynamic happy medium so i can get it right on my music speakers, which are just best buy yamaha entertainment speakers for home stereos, not producing music. but i love there big open mid range, and that hurts my mixes in the end. which is why people say my mixes are off cause they really "are" off, i have to get all IQ on my ****e to make a even mix. if you guys could hear the guitar mid range detail on these speakers you would ****e! but if you heard them on a proper system you would hear they are either too big or scooped in mids and highs. i gotta save up to get real monitors some day. but i want a new guitar first.

cheers! thanks for listening.
i wanna rock!

Re: SH5 metal

long time ago my friend wanted to add some joke vocals to a metal track i was working on and i was all for it, could be funny! so i took those old recordings from 2009 and reprocessed them and added them to this new track and called it Hate part 2.

some people think metal is all about hate. its not at all, just a tone.
i dont feel hate when i make metal.

Taken as a parody, yeah, it made me laugh. He's got a scary voice though, lol.

he's like a suburban man gone wild in front of the mic.
always b itching about the government and taxes, i guess it just all came out.
