What is it? A guy want to exchange with one of my spare pickups. It seems legit to me but never heard a neck version of the custom before yesterday. Is it a custom shop option? Or just a fake?

i had a hamer usa guitar than had a stock sh5n, they do exist

In every case I've ever seen, the SH-5n is just a Custom 5 that was put in the bridge. I've seen some companies pair it with a Custom Custom in the bridge.

I bought a jb off ebay that was supposedly an sh4N. The logo was oriented as it would be on a neck pup. I think the guy said it came out of a jackson guitar

One of the Randy Rhoads guitars came with two JBs. Makes sense that the same has been done with the Custom.

Identical to a regular SH-5, but the screw/slug poles are reversed to match what is typical of a pickup in the "neck" position.

Same with the SH-4 vs SH-4n models.
