Shallow Depth Push Pull Pot?

Greetings,

I have a 65' Melody Maker that is routed for humbuckers. Think Pat Travers. It has a 59 in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck and it sounds great. I would like to be able to split the neck pickup with a push pull pot. However the guitar is too thin for one and I don't want to use a separate toggle switch. Does anyone know of a push pull pot that is shallower in depth than the standard ones? Thanks in advance.

Unless you can find a lower profile Push-Pull Pot, I don't think it's possible unless you remove a little wood in the control route to accomodate the switch.
I'm sure more experienced techs will chime in soon.

There's a push/push that's in lots of the old Ibanez Roadstars. If you can accomplish the same thing with a SPST style push/push switch, those will fit in a lot of guitars that can't accomodate a full push/pull. Otherwise you're pretty much out of luck.

You can also do a lot with a rotary pot, so like you could wire it to make the selections you're trying to do with the push/pull, but then if it's a tone pot, you could have two or three of the selections be varying degrees of treble cut, like a lo-med-hi or something.

Yeah, I was thinking about the PRS type spin a split switch, but those look fairly deep as well.
