One of my favorites is spin-a-split for neck HB's. Much better than coil cut. The best neck HB sounds are in the middle: all the unbalanced coil variations between full HB and coil cut.

I also like Artie's Coil Swap Mod, which combines the screw coil of one HB with the slug coil of the other. If one, or both, of the PU's has unbalanced coils to begin with, you get even more tones from it.

With single coils, including P-90's, I like to use a push-pull to link them in series (instead of parallel), for a boost of volume and warmth.
