Shaun Morgan uses Duncan Designed HB-102Bs?

Can anyone fill me in on why he's used these for the past decade as opposed to normal USA made Duncan's? I'm just curious. I'm actually looking at a HB102B to help nail that grittyyyy and biting tone. I wish I could get the clear bobbin one out of his new schecter signature guitar.

I think it may be because the HB102B is would slightly hotter then the JB it's based on? (im only going by the info on the Duncan site)

May be it works well for him. Tone is in the fingers. Also Duncan design are very nice pickups.

Some pickups just seem to gel with specific guitars. An American-made pickup is not automatically "better" than an Asian-made one. If the resonances in the wood and the pickup compliment each other, things will sound good - even if all the theory in the world tells you that the combination ain't right.
