She's here... Charvel content

Look what the ole Fed Ex man brought me yesterday! I've waited a long time for one of these. Charvel 25th Anniversary San Dimas. This guitar is absolutely stunning in person. It brought a big smile to my face when I opened up the case for the first time. Once again I realize I can't photograph a guitar worth anything. I don't know if Charvel had some superior alder or maple when making this guitar or what but it sounds absolutely killer. One of the best parts???? comes with an 78 EVH stock  Enjoy...

That's HOT!!, dang, the finish does look great but it looks even better as a whole.

Re: She's here... Charvel content

That's one of my favorite guitars of all time right there. Great score.

Niiiice! That's the Holy Grail of non-custom superstrats, as far as I'm concerned. Congrats!!!

Thanks all!

I'd passed on a couple myself Mike until recently when I just couldn't take it anymore. That brass trem really does create some great tone and sustain.

I'm meant to put up my quentessential JacksonMIA warning/disclaimer but I forgot, sorry bro! ;)

I love these Charvels!!!!!! For me.. The only down side is the postion of the humbucker is correct for the reissue but i prefer mine a little farther away from the bridge for more mids and lows... The humbucker in those guitars are about the same location as a tele bridge with a humbucker slot... So it is a widely used location and i have some guitars routed like that... Just a difference in EQ adjustments on the amp

But what is so amazing about these Charvels is the neck and body are of amazing quality! I'd love to own one

They really are in terms of sound, feel, and asthetics. I was suprised how detailed the birdseye is in the neck and how tight the flame is on the maple top.

I wish more stores would keep Charvels in stock in the Toronto area... most of the time i have only seen Charvels is when i'm traveling....

Awesome guitar! I'd love to have one of those and a Shannon Soloist. I love how the strings are waaay off the body from the thick fingerboard. Kinda reminds me of my PC1. How's the neck? Is it thicker like the PC1 or slimmer like a Soloist?

It's alright. Somehow I made it without blacking out. :laugh2:

That guitar just screams, "Play me!" I love the fingerboard and the inlays - classy.

Its sorta in between a PC1 and Soloist IMO. Not as meaty as a PC1 but not as flat and slim of a D shape as a soloist. Sorta just a nice D shape if that makes any sense. Feels great!

LONG LIVE NEW ACQUISITIONS!
it looks amazing. sophisticated yet, so simple.
love it. lets get on our guitars and not let our neighbours rest!

Re: She's here... Charvel content

So dude, I guess you won't be needing that new Jackson of yours, huh? The clear finish quilted maple top gem?

I'd be happy to take it off your hands, to help you make room for the Charvel. Strictly a one-time favor, because I'm such a nice guy. When should I come by to pick it up?
