What gives with these people!
I order a Timberline d-Tar acoustic pickup from them on Tuesday because I was told by Seymour Duncan/D-Tar that they stock and ship fast.
Paid $11 more than Guitar Heaven (because gtr heaven was temp out).
Paid $15 for express shipping
I got nothing.
No communication!
I have sent half a dozen email.
No one answers the phone!
I left numerous messages.
NO one returns message!

and I HAVE A MAJOR CONCERT ON THE 25TH (ONE WEEK) AND MY NUMBER ONE ACOUSTIC IS SITTING ON MY GUITAR TECH'S TABLE WAITING!

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Re: shoreline music? HELP!!

Hi dude--

Horrible situation for sure. I was curious so I went to their site. I'm sure you saw this, but just in case you didn't I copied this off of their site. Seems emailing is not the way to go, and they just don't answer the phone after 2pm their time.

• If you're following up on an order, please include your order number in the appropriate field. When you do so, your comments automagically appear on your invoice, so we can make immediate adjustments to your order.

• I strongly recommend using this form instead of regular email to contact our store, since regular email is increasingly subject to all sorts of electronic roadblocks, notably spam, attachment and HTML filters. This recommendation holds even if you have corresponded with our store before.

• Likewise, if you are expecting to receive return emails from us, please disable any junk mail or attachment filters, and make sure that your email address is entered correctly in the field below. We get lots of emails bounced back to us by spam blockers; please make sure that yours isn't one of them.

• If you do email our store, please be sure only to reply only to our "sales@" email address, not "orders @" or "info@" or similar (those are all nonexistent mailboxes).

Re: shoreline music? HELP!!

Sounds like a pain in the a$$ to deal with them. That's just plain bad service. I'd dispute the charge and buy it elsewhere.

Re: shoreline music? HELP!!

Thanks for the tips
I used their contact form on their web site SEVERAL times and called b4 the 2pm (MT) cut off too.
I feel helpless.
BUT they were VERY responsive and quick to charge my PayPal account $127 though!
I realize they are a busy place but they had opportunities to answer me.

Are there any forum members in Denver that could help me. If they have a store front or local no. maybe they could check on it for me.

Re: shoreline music? HELP!!

I would ask on the acoustic guitar forum and the dtar forum for dealers in your area

you can order from Luthiers' Mercantile too:
timberline

I've ordered from them, and they have excellent service, and they pick up the phone

That blows. If you can't handle the business, don't take the business. I hope you get a nice surprise in the mail tomorrow and you get your pickup. I've had people who didn't respond and just when I thought my cash was gone, and my stuff wasn't coming, WHAM...it would come. I know that's a glass half full outlook, but it's true

Re: shoreline music? HELP!!

Well I finally got a reply from Shoreline. They claim they even left messages on my answering machine which I never got btw, but they did come thru in the end. This is how the reply reads for those who are interested:

"I figure I'll try this one more time. We have written you three times (now four) informing you of the backordered product, and offering you the chance to cancel--my first email was sent less than half an hour after we received your order, sent to the email address you gave us (morelli_frank@hotmail.com). We have left voice mail on
your answering machine at the number you gave us (727-596-0994). We have made every reasonable attempt to reach you. I'm sorry if Hotmail's spam filters have not allowed our email to reach you, but we have certainly done our due diligence. If you get this email, then great! I'm quite content to issue a PayPal refund."

PS. Oh I got this reply only a few hours after I sent an email threatening that I would file complaints with PayPal, USPS mail fraud division, and the Denver DA's office. Could be no correlation, but seem funny that they are replying now and not before.....???
