Should I jump on this Charvel Guitar?

Hey all,

Need some advice. A friend of a friend is selling his Charvel Model A Plus HSS model for about $525.00........From what the guy is telling me is that its made in Japan but it comes standard with a Pearly Gates Humbucker and 2 "Lil' screamin' Demons pickups. The body is Mahogany with a rosewood neck, and has a locking Tremolo.

I'm assuming this more of a shredder's axe (which I'm not) but I figure its a good buy with all the standard harware. Should I jump on this or say forget it?

Those Japanese Charvels are mighty nice guitars, good quality stuff.
And can do alot of other stuff than just shred

The pups alone come pretty close to the price you're looking at. I say buy it. If you don't like it, take the pups out and sell it all separately (if you do that, I want first dibs on the guitar w/o pups! )
