Should I trade my VF-1?

Someone offered me to trade his almost brand new PODxt for my Boss VF-1... should I do that? Any satisfied PODxt user in here? Any satisfied VF-1 user? Would I make a mistake simply because I didn't have enough time to tweak the VF-1?

I have to say that I'm tempted for a couple of reasons : the VF-1 is discontinued and no longer supported by Boss. And it's user base is thinning down. Second, the amp sims (especially the Marshall and distortions) are not that good on the VF-1. Many effects are great though.

Any input?

I used to use a VF-1 with my Soldano because most stompboxes couldn't cut it in the loop.

I'd say that the VF-1 might be better as a multiFX unit but if you're using the amp sims the PODxt is preferable.

Thanks for the input aleclee. That's what I was looking for. As it turned out, I got a buyer for the VF-1, so I'll go back to an amp instead, maybe a modelling one or a tube one with stomp boxes. I'll see...

I love the VF-1's effects and the overall control you can get over them.

The spatial reverb and chorus effects are great. :burnout:
