kick a$$.... definately. The more i play it the more i wanna NOT do any mods to it, my other pricier two Strats on the other hand.....

Can't see it very well..... only photo i have with the MIM Tele in it! On the floor in front is a dark blue 1999 MIM Tele Standard... Has a Gotoh Bridge and a pearloid pickgaurd..... all electronics and other parts are stock and it is amazing!.

A black pickguard, a set of .10s, and adding a second string tree is all i can bring myself to change about mine. lol

The only thing that I might change on mine as of now is the pup selector- it seems too loose- doesn't stay in the middle position very well. But that is an easy, quick fix. I love the pups, neck, it stays in tune, and resonates great. Its so cool to be able to get a great guitar for cheap!

They're nicer to play than the previous MIM guitars IMO, but I actually preferred the less hot pickups of the older model. They sound sweeter in the mid position to me. If you want a more raunchy bridge sound though you'll be fine with the newer model.

Settle for a MIM Nashville instead? I, too liked the medium frets and Tex/Mex pickups, but ended up changing them out for a SM-1n and Vintage 54 bridge. (Looking at the picture, I realize it was taken when the 1/4 Pounder was still in there. It's a Vintage 54 now. Really.)
MIM Teles are great guitars as-is, but they're also the ultimate guilt-free mod platform. I sold an original 1974 Tele Custom to buy the red MIM, 'cause I didn't want to mess with a "vintage" axe.
