Shred Video Clip

hey people :)

i managed to get up an extremly **** quality and short video clip (lol) to the internet. it weighs nearly 14MB and is about 30 seconds long.
it features me playing Jason Becker's "Altitudes" sweeps, and then a little pointless run.
this thing is purely technical, melody is not the point in this clip.
i managed to put it on a relativly good fast and safe ftp, and i hope the link will work.

you can see it here:

Re: Shred Video Clip

What would I use to open an AVI file?

Re: Shred Video Clip

it's not done but is this that video of someone playing it on a blue ibanez w/ maple fretboard?

Re: Shred Video Clip

moom, the guy you are describing is a student of Paul Gilbert, and he's playing Serrana.

2 years on electric

Re: Shred Video Clip

its not that video

i know the one your talking baout but it's another one of a guy playing altitudes.

Re: Shred Video Clip

HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF GOD

Dude you're abnormally good. I've been playing 2 years now as well, and I couldn't touch that with a 100ft pole!

How often do you play? Where'd you learn to sweep like that!??! I'd really like to improve/develop my sweeping, did you use any instructional videos or anything??

Re: Shred Video Clip

looks like your playing so fast your pod cant reproduce tha soudns fast enough for the video :laugh2:

that was good man! tone is kinda fuzzy thouugh

Re: Shred Video Clip

Well I can see why I could never play like that in a thousand years. If I cut my hand off and weighed it - it would weigh at least 4 times what yours does. Oh well, when you work in construction - waddya expect?

Cool clip, that's some great shredding.

Excellent advertisment on the benefits of learning advanced lead playing on a nylon string acoustic.

How's the guitar 'scene' in Israel? Your probably too young to check out live bands in clubs. It's just that I've never heard of any Israeli rock bands.

Re: Shred Video Clip

Wait a second, I'll pick up my jaw on the floor :D

You're prodigious, litterally!

One thing that strikes me, your right hand is not terribly busy, and that's surprising to me. I know nothing of this technique, yet I thought the right hand was busy as hell when I heard that type of playing.

At the end, you show an amazing speed with your right hand though.

Some people like to think that anyone can do this with practice... give me a f*cking break. Natural talent do exist. We're not born equal. Saying anyone can achieve that in 2 years is actually unfair to DiminisheD-7th.

All I hope is that you'll pursue a musical career, if it's your desire.

There really are some astonishing kids on this board!
