Sick lead tone?

Hey everybody, I was browsing around and I stumbled on this band called All That Remains, I listeend to one of their tunes and I just about fell in love with the lead tone their guitar player uses.

I tried looking around for the gear he uses, but to no avail(or maybe I have horrible searching skill, tried google.)

Any idea on what he could use to achieve that type of lead sound?

Check out the intro and solo:

pretty cool i just wished that he sang more and didnt do that bark that these bands do. Its really annoying

Re: Sick lead tone?

you know what man, i tried to stay away from this band because of their vocalist, i don't really like this kind. but i listened for the sake of tone searching and that lead tone is sick by the way, but i'm going to give these guys another chance. thanks.

Re: Sick lead tone?

I saw them live when i went to see Killswitch Engage a couple months ago, they had racks with Mesa Stilettos, either the deuce or trident head.

Re: Sick lead tone?

The tone is really good, the lead tone and the semi-clean tone in the break there. I can't tolerate the vocals at all though.

If those are Mesa Stiletto's, it's another reason I want one. The lead tone can be so sweet, nicely compressed but still articulate. Stiletto Ace baby.

Re: Sick lead tone?

So I guess I'm the only one that like the vocals?

Cool...

Check out 'Passion' by them that also has an absolutely amazing tone (and really really intense playing too)..

But... hmm.. in the video it looks like (and in their songs, often sounds like) EMGs. Smooth, lots of clarity despite the amount of gain. Though, it looks like the other guitarist is using some other kind of (passive) pickup.
