this is a build that i started back in the summer. so far i've been documenting it on strat-talk but i might be moving over to this site in the near future so from now on i'll update on both this site and on strat talk. pictures to come. hope you enjoy it. the guitar i've been building is a replica of a 1960's Silvertone 1448 or danelectro '63 as it's now known.

Re: Silvertone build

Ooooh! That's looking pretty cool. These guitars are starting to catch on again in popularity. You might be starting a trend.:14:
Here's a bluesy & funky video of a vintage 1962 Silvertone.

Re: Silvertone build

It's been a very long time and I am aware I'm not really an active member on this forum but I thought I would bump this thread again because I am within days of completing the build. The reason I'm bumping his thread is because I have noticed that it is much easier to find this thread rather than the one on strat talk by doing an internet search. I remember how difficult it was trying to find build processes and detailed information on this specific method of construction, so if anyone else was thinking of doing a similar build, they could look at what I have done before proceeding ( yes, including my mistakes ).
I hope you enjoy my little journey, please be kind.
