i got a digi 001 running protools, its pretty easy with that if u got the money, if not then get an m audio card, a cheap mixer and dl a ripoff version of cubase

can you use the guitar port, or POD to get anything on my computer? Im new to anything other than just plain old guitar and amp.

you still need a program to record into

i use my guitar port for my sounds - into cubase SX

you can get cheaper programs though - i dunno much about them so maybe someone else will shed more light on it for ya :)

er quite a lot, think its about 300 odd quid :/

i got it copied though, the files only 67 something meg if you have broadband you could download that pretty fast. if you dont agree with that though theres other cheaper alternatives that go for about 50 odd pounds, just they dont do as much as cubase does

either way, its a hell of a lot of money

I've been asking the same questions, I just need to know a cheap, easy and effective recording program.
