I am searching for wiring diagram for a Ibanez RGA121. I have browsed the forum but not finding any or just missed it completely. If there is posts and diagram in here somewhere I'll be happy if any of you point the direction!

I'm going to try the sh15 and want a simple:

1) full bridge
2) split inner bridge
3) full bridge-full neck
4) split outer neck
5) full neck

All I find is the parallel and series splits wiring(I have this wiring already in the guitar)

I have also looked at the SD-support site but I'm not certain that the switch are the same. If it is just let me know and I settle with that.

Thanks

nicke

I have an RG121 and I have the wiring diagram.
The ibanez switch is a custom switch and is not the same as "regular" 5-way swtiches

PM me and I can email it to you.

Is this a stock switching scheme, or is it what you want? Or does this model have the same options as the S320? I have looked on the Ibanez site and all of their RG & SA diagrams are missing. What other model shares this switching? If there's another model with the same options we can base the schematic off that as long as the switch is the same.

It is not the stock scheme, it is what I want. and yes the 121 and 320 have the same options.

I changed the stock pups to FS:s and wired them the "Ibby-original" way. But now when putting a alt8 in I just want it simple. And I think I'm gonna like the "single coil"-sound better... I dunnO..

any thoughts bout the single coil sound?

The Ibanez switch is junk anyway. If you are installing new pups, spend the money and get a proper switch.

Whenever I drop new pups in an Ibanez, I toss all the stock electronics.

Just to clear things up, nobody is saying you can't have the switching options you want in your guitar. What were saying is that you might not be able to do it with the Ibanez switch. The problem with the Ibanez switch is that nobody knows for certain how it works? I have read dozens of pages worth of guesses, but there's nothing definitive. It is likely that Ibanez wanted a certain switching scheme and they designed a switch expressly for that purpose and no other purpose. The advantage with the superswitch is that it is a blank slate, it is whatever you want to make of it. You will save time, money and heartache by choosing a configurable switch.

I agree, if a Super Switch will fit in your control cavity then that is the way to go. Ibanez does offer a Super Switch:

From the pics, it looks like it would wire up like a regular Super Switch. No idea where you would find one.

Good luck finding that!

This is what you want, and you should be able to get easily in the EU.
