Since Parkers are the rage... NGD

I was going to wait a bit longer to make this post, since I actually have a dusty black one on its way as well - but here goes:

It's an amazing guitar. I was instantly crazy about it in every way... except the pickups didn't really wow me immediately. I've managed to dial them in a lot better now, though, and I think they're keepers. Next time I hear someone say a Parker sounds "thin", I'll know they've never played one.

They seem like interesting guitars. Wouldn't mind trying one some day. Can't make my mind up about the looks though

THat is so HAWT! Trust me, put some duncans in there and it will be a HUGE improvement over those pickups. Those factory Dimarzio's sound like muffled ass. Wait...you may have to get those re-wound?

BEAUTIFULL CREATONS . . . i really like the "double-cut" away, like yours.
(the LP'ish style does nothing for me)

I would not mind getting the P44 myself !

Congrats on a GREAT guitar and can not wait to see the second one, and then together !

lol @ "muffled ass". Is that like when you fart into a couch cushion?

How are those pickups mounted?

Schweet!

The SD Custom Shop (MJ RAWKS) can rebuild the Dmz designed pups to your specs. My Deluxe has a Brobucker/A2Pro set in it. BTW, I have a Custom Custom bridge pup built on the Dmz bobbin. I replaced it with the Brobucker.

IIRC, the rebuilds cost about $150. Basically, they are designing and building a new custom pickup.

IIRC, those are actually mounted by one of the pole piece screws. I replaced a set in a guys nitefly that mounted in a traditional way. I pulled the Dimarzio's and threw in a Custom, Lil 59 and Lil JB. IN comparison, the factory pickups did sound very muffled. Like farting in a couch cushion. LOL! The Duncans made it come alive! A huge difference in tone.
