Re: Single coil humbucker compatible con Perpetual Burn humbucker Signature Jason Bec
I'm confused. Are you looking for a single-sized humbucker in the neck and middle positions with a Perpetual Burn in the bridge position?
What is the make and model of the guitar?
I'm guessing you mean an LTD M-103 Flame Maple and it is HSS.
The obvious choice is a Vintage Hot Stack
STK-S7 in the middle and a Cool Rails
SCR-1N in the neck.
Personally, I would opt for the JB Jr.
SJBJ-1N in the neck position. Despite the tone profile bar graph, the JB Jr. is less scooped than the Cool Rails. Neither are frowny-faced.
Use 500k volume and tone and put a resistor in parallel with the STK-S7. The value of the resistor can range anywhere between 180k and 510k, depending on what kind of balance you want and how bright you want the darkest position to be when everything is at 10. I'd start with the 510k and reduce the value depending on how much you tweak the tone control in order to get the balance you like when the middle pickup is active. It could be that you would prefer one of the pots at 250k, which would make the resistor choice less aggressive. With any luck you might like both at 250k and no resistor, which would not alter the overall taper of the controls when the middle pickup is active. I wouldn't bother with any additional options such as split or parallel wiring.
