single coil in the middle

i have an Ibanez rg 1570 and i already put a DDb in that i love.i think i will put a '59 in the neck (long decision but now i m sure :boggled. so i have a hum-sing-hum guitar and i think i will change the single coil in the middle too but i don t know what to put. i don t want something harsh for that position.

i asked the tone wisard and he told me (basswood body and rosewood fretboard) DD/JBjr/'59 . is it a good choice?it is for clean tone mostly.

so if the JB is the good one, i have another question: this pickup has not the same shape as my curent pickup. dammit but the same shape as the hot rail. so i would have a little hole between the pickup and the wood. Is it important :question:

I'd go for a JB Jr. neck model and use it in the middle...I used one for years and really like them. The neck model is brighter than the bridge model. The bridge model would work just fine too, but if it' a clean tone you're after I'd go for the neck model JB Jr...mostly just beacuse I've had real good luck with it in my own guitars. The Little 59 would be another one to consider but I have more experiance with the JB JR. Lew

I won't leave you with this advice because i don't like ceramic magnets and the lil'59 Jb all have it .
I have a classic strat stack ( neck model ) in the middle position , alnico 2 magnet , it does clean job well with more midds than a usual single with alnico 5 , and it scream with harmonics under gain .
