Hi,
I have a strat body and neck that is in a HSH configuration. I was going to put a set of hot rod humbuckers in it that I already have and wanted to know what would be a good middle pickup to match the hot rods with? Any suggestions?
Thank You

I don't think you'd want such a hot pup as the SSL-6. But it really depends on what type of tone are you looking for in the middle position.

There are also single coil sized humbuckers that will fit in the middle position of your guitar if you are looking for a more full, rich tone to match with your other pups. I'm sure you are aware that the JB and Jazz are very bright pups, so a warm middle pup might be nice for versatility in your guitar.

If you want straight single coils, it should be a little hotter than vintage to balance it out. An Antiquity Texas Hot would do it. If you are looking at a more humbucker sound, check out the Little 59 for a different flavor than what you have in there now. Both choices would work well output-wise.
