Single Coil to go 59b

Can someone recommend a single coil to go with a 59 bridge in a alder body Strat style guitar. I`ll mainly be playing the single coil clean but would also like to mix it with the 59b for some overdriven blues licks!

Thanks!

I like the SSL-1 alot...it's very bright and vintage sounding but seems to have a little more bark to the mids than the old pickups in my '63 Strat.

I love the Antiquity Texas Hots...a little chunkier and fuller sounding than the SSL-1 and not as glassy bright. One of those would be very nice too!

The Texas Hot would be the one I'd probably try first. It's fuller tone would probably compliment the 59B.

There are stronger Duncan single coils, like the SSL-3 and SSL-5 and the Quarter Pounders...I've only tried them as bridge pickups. I was always afraid they'd be a little to strong for my tastes as a neck pickup.

When it comes to a Strat neck pickup, I like the bubblier, bouncier tone of lower output Strat pickups myself.

Lew's advise, as usual, is right on the mark. If you want a little more output and fullness, you might try cool rails or duckbuckers or something, too.
