SINGLE sized neck pickup for Maiden leads

I have an HM Strat that is nailing Maiden tones with a Warpig in the bridge.

I need a single coil sized pickup in the neck so that I can nail that Murray / Smith lead tone.

I know the Fender Iron Maiden strat came with hot rails in the neck and middle position, so these are my best guess so far.

Any other suggestions?

I would say the hot rails is you best bet. If that's what they use, then that's what you need.

Hot Rails for the more modern Maiden. If you want the classic Maiden, then look at the one of the single-coil sized offerings from DiMarzio since the PAF and Super Distortion where the choices in the neck back in the day. The Super Distortion S would work nicely or the Pro Track.

The JB jr neck is great for that.

Here's another thought - If I get a hot rails, I'd get a cool rails also. If I get a JB Jr, I'd get a 59 Jr as well to have some cleans, but a consistant "look".

Which pickup would you put where? Hotter in the neck or in the middle?

If I was going for a s/s/s Maiden strat it would have a Fastrack II at the bridge and JB jr's at middle and neck.
