Great timing Artie, haven't sent them yet... I know nothing about this mod, but it is switchable? If so, can you point me to a diagram?

Btw . . . I should mention that I've never done this. But it works on paper.

Very cool. Negative is isolated, so cover no longer matters? Passive, so it has to color sound to some degree (or just reduce vol), but seems like a good way to avoid pup mod.

Considering the transformer is cheap I'm going to try on one of my pups regardless of customer choice.

Artie, please give this a try as things have changed on this end-

Looks like customer became aware of pocketbook limitations and mods are off the table.

So I don't need to try this now, but sure appreciate all of the input for the future-

And I'm really, really interested in your results! Assuming that there isn't a major vol decrease or shift of frequencies, it certainly sounds like something we all should know!
