Slightly OT, but thought you guys might enjoy it

FretFire

A quick video of a guy playing that posts over at guitar.com, where he goes by the s/n "sirnoodleslicksalot". He's recorded a couple of self-produced CDs, and until recently never revealed the secret behind the fact that we never heard a real pick attack in his playing... he has an unusual style...

It looks like sometimes he is playing right over the frets, rather than in between them...

Cool, see what happens when you watch Jeff Healey in a mirror while headbanging ... :laugh2:

Apparently he picked up one of his buddy's guitars one day, and just laid it on his lap that way and started playing around. He's left handed and plays a lefty guitar strung righty... if that's not totally confusing...

Imagine the looks he must get at a guitar shop.

Yeah, it does look like he's playing piano. Cool

Interestingly enough, although my left hand is my fretting hand, and very coordinated (more so than my right), as soon as I turn my hands over palms down, my right hand becomes the one that can play keyboard licks well, while my left hand can scarcely do more than hold down a few bass notes/intervals , and in very simple rhythm. That has always struck me as being odd. The Chapman stick is all about the piano style techique in regard to two hand independence if not physically positioned the same way.
