Slipknot Vol. 3 Gear?

I've taken a real liking to the tone on that album, especially on tunes like "Welcome." The shred tone on that song is just awesome to me. I've heard they used Riveras, but I've also heard that Mick Thompson used a VHT Pitbull Ultralead, and Jim Root used a Bogner Uberschall, any confirmation on that?

Chances are, they used a billion different amps.

I've heard all the ones you listed, plus a Krank Revolution.

I remember reading something like a Bogner Caveman and Uberschall, as well as the VHT UL. The Rivera's were only for cleans.


I personally think there's much better tones out there; they took a very strange approach to recording that album.
