Re: "Slow Beckish Blues"

I like your playing. A lot of good licks and everything sounds nice and melodic.
The only critique I may have is to get more expressive with your picking dynamics. Your left hand is pulling everything off great, but your right hand sounds like it'd do more justice to the melodies by playing with a bit more fire and digging harder into some notes, while easing off on others. Now, the notes all sound like they're being downpicked with equal emphasis, and a tiny bit behind the beat. You're a real good player, so getting your right hand to play like your life depends on it is what I can tell will make you an even stronger player. Learn to be right on the beat and sometimes on the upper edge of the beat. It'll add more fire to your licks and melodies.

I like the way your ideas are structured and your tone a lot, so any criticism I have is just nitpicking to push you.

Thanks joneser! That was something that I really needed... because I didn't realize it at first. But now afterwards when listening to my stuff, I know exactly what you mean. Gonna start pracising on that

Glad you liked it metal! :smokin:

Re: "Slow Beckish Blues"

Believe me....I'm my own harshest critic too. If I listen to everything I've ever done, I can hear where every point of weakness is. Some of the clips I posted this week were from 9-10 years ago, and I know I've become a much better player since then, so I cringe when I hear my tone, or when there's a lick that drags etc. Those are the things I corrected in my own mind, but it's too late to go back and change it. It's the only way to get better.
