SMB4D vs SMB4a

Hello. I want to upgrade my olp stingray ripoff which I love and wanted to know if anyone knew what the difference between the SMB4D and the SMB4a bassline pickup. Thanks in advance. :dance: :newangel:

welcome to the forum!!

the alnico version is warmer and clearer while the ceramic version has a more aggressive mid range. both sound great it just depends how you like your tone.

i have a smb5a in my olp bass and i think it sounds fantastic!!
