I was doing a little truss-rod/neck angle adjustments on my bass and happened upon a set of Smith "Rock Master Lights" that a friend bought years ago when he managed to break my bass string. I slapped them on, broke them in, tuned up and I'm blown away! Through the "'59 Bassman" mode on my Fender Mustang, dialed in to taste, the definition and warmth balance is unbelievable. Soft maple is a great rock bass wood and brings out a lot of treble and combined with these all stainless babies, harmonics are UNBELIEVABLE! The "Super Ferrite" pickup is very sensitive to string changes but these compliment this killer pickup perfectly. These strings really accentuate the bite in them. Strumming on chords produces some full midrange tones missing on a lot of bass rigs I've played on.
