So finally a clip from my camp!!

Re: So finally a clip from my camp!!

that sounds awesome! beautifuly produced and written. and that is one of the best guitars i have heard in a while.

Re: So finally a clip from my camp!!

I would just as soon listen to acoustic guitar as I would sleep on hot coals! Even the likes of Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, Paco Delucia, and Al DiMeolo could not convert me to an acoustic listener steel string or otherwise! But this one made me a believer. Your sound is worth me making this one exception!

Yes that was mic'd. There was an SM57 close to the soundhole and then another mic (don't know the name) placed about 6 inches from the neck.

Wow, that's beautiful, B Bent! I love the guitar's tone and the song is put together really well. Great job!

I kind of figured it was something like that. Great way to get a killer acoustic sound! I've heard using a pair of Shure KSM44s in that type of configuration achieves a great sound. Of course, a pair of KSM44s cost about $1600 new... Really any pair of large diaphragm (or even small diaphragm) condensers can capture a nice stereo acoustic sound that way.

The versatility of the SM57 never ceases to amaze me. I've gotten some "fairly" decent-sounding drum recordings using only SM57s and 58s amazingly enough. Not enough sizzle in the overheads & the kick was lacking some of the whomp, but not too bad.

Keep up the great work!

Wow! That's a really gorgeous tune, Greg. "Look, Ma...No b-bender!"

Your style is very fluid and melodic. Nice job.

Re: So finally a clip from my camp!!

DUDESSS.............. hold it right there!!! When i said my camp I meant my guitar played by someone who could ACTUALLY play. That IS NOT me playing. It is my beloved Baruke, but my friend jay recorded that when he borrowed the Baruke once.
