So I was thinking of looking into buying a Bonepicker Amp….
There has apparently been a lot of buzz on them here on the boards lately.
That said, I heard the builder was in a car accident from someone. He must have been banged up pretty bad. I also saw where he went on on some tear about a guy because the guy said Bonepicker amps sucked/were a scam whatever. I don't know about their quality/tone, but I definitely know the builder seemed to have a really bad response to some doofus from like 8 or so years ago. Was the builder in a coma? I don't know.
I'm asking because if the guy is unstable, or whatever or hit his head really hard or has neurological damage, I'm wondering if he still has his amp chops. I thought it was pretty crazy of him to totally go off on some guy not once, but twice.
Honestly, I appreciate that Gilly closed both of those threads. But honestly, I'd really like to see the guy banned. The fact is, it appeared he attacked, got blocked, and then reposted something that was shut down.
As a long standing member of this board, I think I speak for most when I say that idiot reviews like "This pickup sucks" or "That pedal rocks" or this that or whatever blows are made by idiots, and ignored by everyone but idiots. I really think comments like that harm the community, not to mention the builders own business).
In retrospect, now that I have thought about it, maybe I won't buy one. In fact, I'm not gonna even look into it. Not because of Stiles - whoever he was. But because of the unbelievably unhinged dooshrocket response the builder made and not even an apology.
I don't like dealing with people like that, and I don't like them on our forum.
