So if/when I replace my minis in my LP deluxe , what about mounting ?

The original mounting rings are permanently attached to the pickups with some nuts soldered onto the screws and some tubing. The whole mounting surround adjusts up and down with the pickup. I guess I have to buy some after market mounting rings and get creative with tubing, screws, jam nuts, etc. Anyone tackled this ? I like the look of the mini, so I'd like to stay with that style.

I scored some through ebay, thin chrome ones.
You might want to layer them up with some custom
trimmed wood underneath them though, as the pickup
might look too exposed with the thin surrounds.
I paid about $10 US for a pair with no screws.
