So pickups for this?

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
I really am enjoying playing this guitar. And it doesn't sound bad at all. Looking for something "classic" rock oriented.

I have kinda settled in on Whole Lotta Humbuckers. I think they would be an excellent spicy mix of classic PAF and extra zippiness for throwing down on Zeppelin, Who, Clapton, Stones, and other riffs in that zone.

But what do you suggest?

I'd agree. Also a nice set of audio taper pots with a 5-10% tolerance, wired up 50s style, so clean to mean is at your fingertips, keeping with the theme of the music you're going for with this one. Think of Pete and Jimmy turning down to get those sweet clean sounds, they weren't stomping on pedals and changing channels ;).

Wait...Angus Young style guitar and no one's mentioning the High Voltage set, especially now that they're "production" models?

What about regular old '59's? I loved them when I had them. I like them better than the WLH's, TBH, even though I still like the Whole Lottas.

I always liked the Custom5 in a SG. Funny enough because I didn't like it in everything else. It's scooped sound goes well with the SG.

All good suggestions for classic rock, just keep everything between 7k-10k, and pick the EQ the guitar needs. What do the stock pickups sound like?
