I may be biased, but the Wampler Ecstasy is still the best pedal for single coils I have ever played or own and I have some 'boutique' cork sniffin high-end pedals. It is not a distortion pedal, but an overdrive. It retains all of the guitars character and definition. So pleasing and inspiring to play with. Super investment. Cheers.

Same pedal. Name changed last year. So versatile I would own 3 to cover all my needs.

Not sure about "tuning," but a good fuzz face is my favorite "jam pedal" with a Strat.

Also a very good pedal. Kick on the Bump switch, and it just sings! Crank the 100Hz knob, and it just gets nasty!

The Wampler Paisley drive should do pretty well. I still use my 13 year old Fulldrive 2 myself

Anyway, my focus is now in Wampler' stuff.

Wampler Euphoria (previously named ecstasy, best all-pourpose overdrive I've ever tried, 3 very different voices in a box: dumble, transparent, british, all them good, all them usable).
Wampler Paisley (trainwreck / tube-screamer alike, probably the one I like it less)
Wampler '65 Black (range of Blackfaces in a box, nice to change your amp's voice into a blackface platform, really good pedal).
Wampler '57 Tweed (range of tweeds in a box, really good one, I love it for Blues stuff).
Wampler Plexi Drive (Marshall JTM45 - JTM50 in a box, really good, my rock heroes live here).
Wampler Dual Fusion (an Euphoria and a Paisley in a single box, da bomb).
DISTOS:
Wampler Plextortion (Hod Rodded Marshall in a box, pre+power amp distortion type)
Wampler Pinnacle (brown sound, Van Hallen in a box, power amp distortion type)
Wampler SLOStortion (Soldano SLO-100 in a box, don't miss the incredible good crunch mode, IMHO better than the disto one).
Wampler TripleWreck (5150 in a box)
Wampler Sovereign (together with RAT Whiteface, the best and more organic all purpose distortion I've ever tried)
FUZZ
Wampler Leviathan (any kind of fuzz, germanium/silicon, from fuzz face, tone bender gains, up to huge muff gain)
