I have a neck/bridge pair of SD P90 Stacks. I tried them in my Gibson LP Junior Special to replace the stock P100s. IMO, they were an improvement but not by enough. (I wired the SD Stacks in "standard" parallel mode only. Never tried the other coil combinations.) Within a week, the Stacks were out and a pair of SD single coil P90s were in. Bliss.

The PRS McCarty Soapbar uses SD SP90-1n and SP-90-3n pickups. This is pretty much what I am using on my Gibson.

PM coming up.

Good pair of P-90's, except I take the ceramics out of the SP90-3 and put in a couple alnicos, like an A8/A5 or A8/A4 to get more dynamics in the tone.

Just like the LP Gold Top, McCarty is (or should be) synonymous with P-90.

Hello,

I'm going to try the P-Rails originals in the Mc Carty, bridge and neck. I have read the thread "P-rails... Is it supposed to..." very good for me !

Maybe I find time to buy and wire the pickups this week. I'll give you my feeling as soon as possible.
