Soldering magnet wire help

I have a vintage style strat pickup I've been working on.The magnet wire on the negative side broke right at the eyelet. The wire is just long enough to reach the eyelet but not enought to wrap it through the eyelet.I tried to solder it to the yelet but I cannot get solder to stick,I tried tinning the magnet wire and that don't work either.
What should I do???I allready tried to pull the bottom flatwork off but there is no extra wire to be had doing that it snags on the end pole.

Re: Soldering magnet wire help

First: Put off one coil wind, so you get enough wire to work on.
Second: Scrap of the lacquer on the wire with a knife. Lay the wire on a flat ground and do some gentle strokes with a not too sharp and small kitchen knife.
Third: wrap around the eyelet and solder with tin - cut off the excess wire
