Maybe, but I'd say only if it's not making good ground contact. Check your grounding.

I would say that the "clumpier" the solder, the more chance of having an air-pocket inside the clump....which can cause a bad connection. If you have a multi-meter handy, go through your solders and make sure they have good contact.
