Can anyone tell me where I can find the "solid" grounding wire as seen in this photo? Also what is the proper gauge to use? Thanks!Pic-25-Emerson-LP-Wiring-.jpg

Re: Solid Ground Wire

Sometimes the cut leads from the tone capacitors are used depending on how long they are. When I want to use something solid for ground like that I've used paper clips, believe it or not. Works perfectly.

I thought of paper clips, now that I hear it from someone else may give it a try. Even if the wire has coating as long as it is solid is what Im looking for. The capacitor clippings s not a bad idea either.. Thanks!

Re: Solid Ground Wire

I guess you could use paperclips... I wouldn't because they seem very random in terms of material. Might not stick well with tin, or have high resistance. Grounding issues are quite usual "ghost in the machine" problems.

I just use normal wires or pieces clipped from components.

Good answer, clipped pieces sounds good.
