I got mine second hand off the web so I just took the plunge on it. I previously had a telecaster which I really liked but couldn't get on with the smaller radius and tiny frets so I though I'd go for the RK. What I didn't know was that the neck is actually a baseball with frets attached! It's huge, but actually rather comfortable. Apparently the '52 reissue (correct?) Teles have these huge necks also, perhaps you should check one of them out?
