Some epic metal/my old band...

CTN

The Drama Dude
Finally, the album that I worked my ass off for is nearing completion...

This is unmixed and unmastered, but all the parts are complete.

I was using a Duncan Custom in my mahogany/set neck ibanez, other guitarist was using a Full Shred in his mahogany/set neck Schecter 006 elite.

I'm on the right, he's on the left. Slower/melodic leads are his, fast solos are mine.

Amps used for rhythm tracks:
Me: Splawn Quick Rod + Jet City JCA100
Him: 6505 + Laney VH100R
I can't remember which amps were used for the leads.

Enjoy!

It's called "The Trapper"

Re: Some epic metal/my old band...

Thanks dude :)

I'm quite proud of the stuff I did with that band. Sadly, after I left, the then-bassist and vocalist also left. The bassist got replaced by a kickass dude with talent oozing out of every orifice, and the new guitarist is 16 or 17 and can outplay me easily (though I tend to have more soul in my playing ;) ). Nice thing is I'm still good friends with all the members of the band, both past and present!

Actually, the new bassist, I'm gonna get him to record bass for my blues rock solo album

Very cool stuff! Who is mixing this? I would love to have a crack at it, unless you are paying a 'big name' to do it.

Hey man, glad you dig. The keyboardist/producer is mixing it as far as I know, and last I heard they were planning on getting Dan Swano to master it (big name lol). Unfortunately, I'm not in the band anymore so I'm not in a position to make decisions for them, but the keyboardist has recorded/mixed a whole bunch of albums for other bands already and he's good at what he does. :)

Very nice guitar playing!

Thanks man! :)
