Some Opinions/Critisisms please

Hey guys i did some more recordings of some things so i figured i would post them, 2 of them are new original stuff, the 3rd one is a recording from a show we had last week. the one from the show is the last 1/2 of one of our originals, and then us doing a cover of Translyvania by Iron Maiden

This one is just one guitar part of the song, i didn't have time to record the rhythm and stuff....and the intro is kidna ridiculous, it's mostly me screwing around. im gonna keep a solo in the beggining...just not one that long..

yeah.... the first riff is pretty.... well... FAST! Not my thing, so im not really good at Crticising it.. sounds good tho.

The solo in the first track wasn't my style, so It's better I not evaluate it more specificly. The riffs were quite good, I was a bit surprised, better than the usual level around forums, IMO. Maybe the track as a whole was a bit boring in the middle, the end was nice, the transition not so much. Overall, very nice riffs, I'd expect stuff like that from complete records. I can't evaluate the accuracy of your playing, as I don't know what you were playing over.

The tone on the second track wasn't to my liking, a bit unclear at times. The riffs are good quality, but IMO your tracks get a bit too repetitive.

The sound quality on the live clip was too bad for me.

I'm into fast playing, metal and all that so I'd be glad to give a critique.

You have tons of right hand chops, but the shredder thing is really unfocused. I see alot of (usually younger) players who play real fast but theres not alot of substance there.
Try to focus you licks more diatonically in a key and try not to double up the notes on your right hand parts. Start with some metronome and 3 note per string exercises picking one note for each left hand note using alternate picking. you'll sound alot cleaner which makes you sound faster too.

I like the riff alot. If your only 16, its scary to think how good your GOING to be. Keep it up.

ok.. nothing is what it seems. i like the riff a lot. if you're going to work on this track it has good trash potential. keep it up, but cut the intro solo to some harmonies and some good solid speedy blues licks

the riffs are awesome, keep working on them, they are rockin! try to put in a bit more variety into the last one.

you pretty much know my verdict hehe.

next, try to focus on the recording and sound a bit. it probably sounds a lot better in person, but in the recording it's way too harsh. i dont know if there are other instruments in the 1st one, cos only guitars can be heard

the recordings are mostly done w/ a camera, i want a guitar port but idk when i can get it, but i didn't have time to record through my computer, hopefully i will this weekend. thanks guys, my shreding is not up to par w/ my riffage, but i am working on it

Shred is not my thing, but there where a few nice passages which would have sounded well to my ears if played a bit slower.
