Some weeping

Re: Some weeping

Great feel, nice tone! I go for clean sounds like this, too. I really like your clips man, and that rake/noise at 0:55 was killer, as were the last few swells.
You have expressive playing, and you didn't overplay the backing.

Keep it up.

Re: Some weeping

Hehe thank you :)

I love this low gain thing, just the right amount I need for my style.

I learned new stuff today with the G-Major. I did a re-set and started with a "new" G-Major and I understand the parameters better now :D

I wish I had a tad more reverb and delay on it (it's a quite direct sounding tone still) but I'll figure that part out!

Re: Some weeping

I think this direct sounding makes it even better!
If you have nothing to hide (mistakes :D) then it's the best way to prize good playing instead of hiding it behind a reverb/delay wall..I need some cover..to hide my flaws :D

This rake is pretty easy but it has a great effect. I wish it had a lot of reverb and delay just in this moment.

You use the harmonics on the 7th and 12th fret open strings..do a "sweep" downstroke and try to play a 7th harmonic on the first downstroke and a 12th harmonic in the second and 7th again on the third etc, always changing. But in reality I can only change the frets every 2nd stroke or so. I also use the index for the 7th fret and the pinkie for the 12th fret.
