SoundCloud Embedding Problem

Isn't the SoundCloud tag supposed to embed their orange bargraph player right in the thread? At first, I thought it was how I was entering the link, but then I saw one of Jolly's threads, which looks just like mine:

Does this indicate there's something wrong with my computer's ability to display the player? I'm running a Dell laptop with Windows 10, and get the same results in Firefox and IE. I think SoundCloud's player doohickey is Flash-based, but I have the latest upgrade of the much-maligned Flash Player.

Why doesn't the player work?

Because SpundCloud, whilst being the best of the free players, is also wonky as all get out!!

Doing the same to me, on a Mac w/ Safari. I think its down for everyone.
