Hey guys came across this nice mig 50 and it sounds great, but the tone controls don't work and it appears the transformers may not be original. Any help is appreciated!
Could the tone controls have been intentionally bypassed? It's not all that uncommon on tube home audio gear to not have any or bypass them after the fact. Not sure why one would want to do it on a guitar amp but some probably would.
i bypassed the tone controls on the normal channel of my deluxe reverb. you lose a fair amount of gain to the tone stack in bf style amps, not that the mig is a bf style amp, just saying that people do it
