I know for certain they are celestion 75s. Just not sure of the letter make up right now. I also recall that when I inquired on them once before, I was told they were best sounding when played loud and were kinda bright and good for 80s metal.
Thanks for the suggestions so far! I should have stated in my orig post, the question as to whether they both need to go or if the stock ones would mix and match with another to get an optimal tone. perhaps Ill start with a vin 30. What is Eminence's vin 30 type? That way, If the V30,g75 combo still isnt exactly what in looking for, I can try a V30/creamback (or private jack) combo) I worry about committing right away to a pair of greenbacks. The only other speaker change Ive ever done was replacing the stock speaker in my PV classic 30 with a Private Jack. I like it, but it is alot more wooly sounding
Is it the Governor? Also, doing a google search, found an old Duncan thread where a guy posted he replaced his Vin 30 with a V12 and it was sweet, full, rounder than the V30
heres the thread:

Oh, one more question.. Ohms.. The cab is marked as rated at 8ohms. So, I know to use the 8Ohm setting on my amp. Does that mean I need to get an 8Ohm speaker? Or do you get 16 ohm speakers and when running in stereo they are 8? thanks
