Raging BB Gunologist
I have a 100w Rectifier and a Standard Recto 4x12 w/V30s.
I really like the crunch these speakers give, but there's not enough "girth" on the bottom end, and it seems to lack some thump when muting.
I'm open to all options (ie, adding another 1, 2, or 4x12, different speakers, ect).
What I'm currently looking at is;
- Loading two Mesa C90s in the bottom two spots on my 4x12.
- Adding another 4x12 with either; Mesa C90s, Celestion Classic Leads, or G12Hs.
- Mixing speakers in two different cabs (ie, two V30s and two G12Hs in two different 4x12s).
- Adding a Mesa 3/4 back 1x12 w/ a 200w EVM 12-L speaker
- Adding a Mesa 3/4 back 2x12 w/ Mesa C90 speakers.
Thoughts on some of these options?
Other options I should consider?
My tone is kind of a cross up between Hettfield, Cobain, and Iommi. I like to take Hettfields rhythm sound and add midrange until it sludges up.
