Speaker Replacement for a 65 PRRI

I have a Princeton Reverb Reissue and for all of its quirks and slight buzzes it is a great amp IMO.

It came with a stock Jensen C-10R made in Italy. The Jensen is just okay and I have had it for 6 months and put over 100 hours on the thing so I think it should be broken in at this point. My issue with it is the harshness in the upper mids and higher frequencies. I run a ash Tele, a H-S-S Strat with a PG bridge and Texas Specials in the middle and neck. I also have an EPI Gold Top with Lollar P-90's. I don't play gigs but I do soundtracks / backing tracks for freelance video. As far as what I play outside of that its classic rock and alt country.

Any ideas on a new speaker? I run an EQ and can tame down some of the ice pick stuff but I am looking for smoother upper mids and highs that do not fuzz or sizzle.

Break it down my brothers!!!

weber makes a bunch of great 10" speakers. the 10f125 or 10f150t would be my suggestion. the c10r, and p10r for that matter, are pretty bright and peaky

Too bad it doesn't use 12s. I'd wholeheartedly recommend an Eminence Cannabis Rex for 'smoother upper mids and highs that do not fuzz'.

they make a 10" version of the greenback, the first speaker I think of when someone says "smooth mids and highs" or anything like that.
Not the most traditional choice but it could be killer.
