Speaker replacement?

Hey guys, so I recently got a used behringer ultrabass 410 combo with aluminum speakers and wouldn't you know I know nothing about Eq for bass being a guitsr player outside my band, I blow one of the speakers at the first gig with it! Now I'm looking at 3 options, 1: find a replacement speaker and fix it up and sell it and buy a different amp (more portable and lightweight)
2: sell as is for a lowish price and use that cash for another amp that's not as good
3: sepperate the head from the cab and part out the cab and buy a different cab

Thoughts? And also I would need help knowing where to get a cheap replacement 10 inch aluminum speaker for it

Re: Speaker replacement?

Any time you buy a cheap but useable combo, you should figure new speakers into it. Speakers are such a huge part of your tone that you should start learning what you like right now.

Don't focus on aluminum speakers. Shop for good ones.

Re: Speaker replacement?

I just wanna put something in it and sell it at this point and use the money to get a more portable amp, 4x10 is too heavy and big for our vehicles at the moment

Re: Speaker replacement?

A 4x10 combo is definitely on the bulky side!

You need to pull the driver and get a replacement that is the same load, sensitivity, and power handling. Just google the name of the speaker and add the word 'buy' to the search...
